ABOUT DEIRDRE
Deirdre Gan, PICKLEBALL POCKET(deirdregandesigns.com) of Huntington Beach, CA describes herself as a designer with a Pickleball Passion! Already a talented jewelry designer, selling her designs nationwide, she has turned her attention to developing the Pickleball Pocket.
In 2009, she started selling her jewelry in local stores, then expanded her sales out of state with her website:
deirdregandesigns.com. She taught jewelry classes and her jewelry has been published in the PMC Connection newsletters and Hadar Jacobson’s books on Metal Clay. Her jewelry designs were finalists in the World Championship Belt Buckle Juried Competition, 2012 & 2014, and the Fire Mountain Jewelry 2014 contests.
Deirdre has a keen interest in an active lifestyle as well as preparing healthy meals for her family. She started playing Pickleball in 2015 which quickly became her passion.
She has volunteered at the Surf City Pickleball Tournament in Huntington Beach for the last 5 years. After a double knee replacement took her out of the game, her dedication to physical therapy put her back on the court within a year playing better than ever.
She has already put her talents to work designing and creating a sterling silver and pewter Pickleball Jewelry line.
As an avid player, she discovered the need for a Pickleball garment that would allow freedom of play and would hold the Pickleballs safely. The PICKLEBALL POCKET vest is designed with a need in mind and is fun and functional.
